As part of its efforts to enhance food security and support the most in-need families, Al-Wa'ie and Al-Mowasat Charitable Association implemented the Frozen Sacrificial Meat Project 2026, in partnership with the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV), where the Foundation provided 112 tons of sacrificial meat, distributed to a number of Lebanese partner institutions and Al-Wa'ie and Al-Mowasat Charitable Association to deliver it to beneficiary families.
The Association distributed its share of meat to approximately 15,000 families across various Lebanese regions, in cooperation and coordination with municipalities and local authorities, contributing to enhancing food security and alleviating living burdens for the most in-need families.
The project activities were launched during a press conference and handover ceremony in the presence of representatives from the Turkish side and Lebanese civil society organizations, with the participation of a delegation from Al-Wa'ie and Al-Mowasat Charitable Association including the Vice President of the Association, Mr. Hussein Orrabi, Executive Director, Mr. Mohammad Yahya, and Human Resources Manager, Mr. Hassan Al-Zarif.
This initiative comes as an extension of the ongoing humanitarian partnership between the Association and the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, aiming to expand the scope of response to needs and enhance the impact of programs that place the family at the core of humanitarian and development work.
