ACA — The Awareness & Consolation Association

Who we are

Awareness linked to social work — with the human being at the center

ACA — The Awareness & Consolation Association — was established in 1994 (Reg. No. 640 A.D.). The philosophy of the association revolves around awareness linked to social work, manifested in all humanitarian activities; the focus of its projects is centered on humanity.

With the efforts of a dedicated group of volunteers, ACA was established in 1994 under license number 640 A.D.

To this day, the association continues to serve as a beacon of light for those whose paths have been darkened by life's challenges and demands.

Its mission is centered on the individual — their social, economic, health, and educational needs. Compassion is the core value of its work: alleviating the sorrows and hardships of the needy, bringing hope, and ensuring social security for them.

From its main center in the Al-Kharoub region — Ketermaya — ACA's work extends through centers and offices across all Lebanese territories. Through its eight working sectors, ACA has become a shelter for every resident in Lebanon.

Eight goals, one purpose

What ACA works for, as set out in its founding goals.

  1. Spreading virtue and good morals in society, and instilling faith in people's hearts.

  2. Fostering a spirit of cooperation and mutual solidarity among the members of society.

  3. Carrying out all kinds of permissible humanitarian, social, health and educational programs and projects that benefit society.

  4. Caring for health and cultural affairs, and establishing institutions dedicated to them.

  5. Providing aid and support to families in need, to students and to people with disabilities, and encouraging every activity that benefits society — above all, the care for good morals.

  6. Spreading education and learning by opening and establishing schools and specialized social institutions: educational, scientific, technical, vocational, health and care.

  7. Setting up and opening centers to shelter families, orphans, students, the poor and those in need; centers for psychological, sensory, motor and social support and for people with special needs; and offices to run the association.

  8. Local and international partnership and/or twinning with organizations, municipalities and municipal unions, and social, humanitarian, cultural, educational, health and care bodies that serve the association's goals.
