A delegation from the Awareness and Care Welfare Association and the "Rasad" Center visited the Minister of Labor, Dr. Mohammad Haidar, at his office in the ministry. The delegation included the President of the Association, Haj Fadi Basbous, the Director General of the Association and Head of the "Rasad" Center, Dr. Imad Said, the Head of the Iqlim Al-Kharrub Conference for Challenges and Development, Dr. Imad Seifeddine, and Attorney Fadi Beyh.

During the meeting, the delegation presented the key outcomes and recommendations of the Iqlim Al-Kharrub Conference for Challenges and Development, particularly regarding developmental priorities in the region and the importance of enhancing cooperation between ministries, official institutions, and civil society organizations, in a way that contributes to improving social and economic conditions.

The delegation also submitted a draft law proposal to regulate human resources and personnel affairs in civil society institutions and charitable organizations in Lebanon, aiming to develop institutional work, promote principles of governance, safeguard workers' rights, and raise the performance level in this vital sector.

The meeting addressed ways of cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Labor, as well as benefiting from the programs and initiatives implemented by the ministry, thereby enhancing the capacity of non-governmental organizations to continue their social and humanitarian role amid the challenges Lebanon is witnessing.

For his part, Minister Haidar expressed his interest in the presented proposals, emphasizing the importance of the role of civil society institutions in supporting development and serving the community, as well as the necessity of activating cooperation and coordination to achieve the public interest.
